Oasis Friday Bulletin13: ENEMIES OF SUCCESS 02

FEAR - Master Fear

After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, FEAR NOT, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward
. (Genesis 15:1 KJVR)

Removes all the what ifs in your life.
You have to master fear – fear is one of the enemies of success and progression in life.
Some people will never marry because of fear.
  • Fear on how the Dowry will be paid
  • Will I not be left on the alter
  • A new life style and beginning
  • If I will be a good parent
Fear can cause you to become paralised and not to progress in life.
Fear will cause you to panic and not able to take certain important decisions for your life.
The bible reassures us to fear not:
In several places God reassured his children to trust in Him and not to be afraid.

After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, FEAR NOT, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward. (Genesis 15:1 KJVR)

And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? FEAR NOT; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is. (Genesis 21:17 KJVR)

And the LORD appeared unto him the same night, and said, I am the God of Abraham thy father: FEAR NOT, for I am with thee, and will bless thee, and multiply thy seed for my servant Abraham's sake.
(Genesis 26:24 KJVR)

And they journeyed from Bethel; and there was but a little way to come to Ephrath: and Rachel travailed, and she had hard labor. And it came to pass, when she was in hard labor, that the midwife said unto her, FEAR NOT; thou shalt have this son also. (Genesis 35:16-17 KJVR)

God will speak to us FEAR NOT.
We also need encouragement from fellow humans to encourage us to fear not.
The only one we must fear in this life is God.
Fear-of-GOD is life itself, a full life, and serene--no nasty surprises. (Proverbs 19:23 MSG)
The fear of the Lord is beginning of wisdom.
Look up to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.
(Hebrews 12:2 KJVR) Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
(Hebrews 12:2 MSG) Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we're in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed (never gave up, He defied the enemy of success by not fearing the cross. Just imagine if we did not have the cross of Jesus where would I be…) -- that exhilarating finish in and with God--he could put up with anything along the way: cross, shame, whatever. And now he's there, in the place of honor (me and you must one day be in the place of honor when all is said and done. Praise Jesus! Wow! I love the next part and I get excited when I hear this), right alongside God (what a place to be).

You must never look up to the situation. No situation should guide your direction. Always look up to Jesus. God the one who has promised us victory through Jesus will carry me through He God will help me and lift me up. Praise Jesus.

I see the situations in your life bowing down and breaking up into smoke like chaff rising in the air. But I see the wind of God blowing the chaff away and setting you free.

(Isaiah 17:13 KJVR) The nations (those who hassled the children of Israel. The problems you face the challenges you face) shall rush like the rushing of many waters (will rise up to fight you): but God shall rebuke them (God will defend you), and they shall flee (blown away) far off, and shall be chased (God can chase and who can stand it) as the CHAFF of the mountains before the wind, and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind.

(Isaiah 17:13 MSG) Roaring like a deafening Niagara! But God will silence them with a word, And then he'll blow them away like DEAD LEAVES off a tree, like down from a thistle.

(Isaiah 17:13 CEV) But even if they roar like a fearsome flood, God will give the command to turn them back. They will be like DUST, or like a tumbleweed blowing across the hills in a windstorm.

May God blow away all the things that instill fear in you, because greater is He that is in you than He that is in the world.
